Volunteer Opportunity Page - Literacy No

Be a Buddy Program

At Victory Ministries we believe that literacy is a foundational building block for achievement and can provide pathways for a self-sufficient future. However, we understand that literacy inequities exist, especially for those living in poverty.

Our Be a Buddy program, in the Whitehall School District, pairs caring adult volunteers with students. Buddies spend one hour each week one-on-one with the same student.

Buddies do not need any special background or education.  If you love kids and want to help shape futures by listening to and caring about a child, you can Be a Buddy.

We will give you the tools you need to make a difference!

Cooking Class

Our Cooking and Nutrition Education Class provides neighbors with a hands-on food experience.
Each month, new recipes and cooking methods are demonstrated and the dish that is prepared is shared and sampled by the cooking class participants.

Classes are provided on the first Tuesday of each month from 11am-12:30pm.

To register for the class, please
email classes@victorycoh.org or contact
614-252-2500.
